1. Who you are booking with
On Camera Acting is operated by Stuart McGowan. Email stuart@oncameraacting.co.uk with any booking, cancellation or complaint.
Before payment, your booking email will also give you On Camera Acting’s geographical business address and the complete pre-contract information in a form you can keep.
2. The course and price
Service
A 24-class, in-person acting-for-camera programme for adults aged 18 and over.
Dates and venue
Mondays from 11 January to 28 June 2027, 6.00–9.00 pm, at The Boardwalk, Glasgow, on the dates listed on the main course page.
Total price
£690: £90 for January and £120 per month from February to June.
Payment schedule
£45 when booking; the remaining £45 for January by 1 January 2027; then £120 on or before the first day of each month from February to June.
The £45 booking payment is part of the January fee, not an extra charge. There is no automatic renewal beyond June 2027.
3. Application, offer and contract
- You submit an application. This is an enquiry only and does not create a contract or require payment.
- If a place is available, On Camera Acting emails you an offer, these terms, the required pre-contract information and a secure link to pay £45.
- After receiving your payment, On Camera Acting emails a booking confirmation. The contract is formed only when that confirmation is sent.
Your confirmation email will repeat the agreed service, dates, price, payment schedule and cancellation information so that you have a durable record.
4. Your 14-day cooling-off period
On Camera Acting gives every online course booking a 14-day cooling-off period. It begins on the day after your booking-confirmation email is sent.
You may cancel during that period without giving a reason. Email a clear statement to stuart@oncameraacting.co.uk or use the model form below. You do not have to use the form.
All payments received for the booking will be refunded within 14 days after On Camera Acting is told of your decision, using the same payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. No cancellation fee will be deducted.
The course will not begin during the cooling-off period for bookings made when enrolment opens in October 2026. This contractual promise does not reduce any cancellation right you have by law.
5. Cancellation after the cooling-off period
Before the course begins
If you cancel after the 14-day period but before 11 January 2027, On Camera Acting will refund payments received, less only any direct and unrecoverable loss reasonably caused by your cancellation. Steps will be taken to keep that loss to a minimum. If the place is filled by another actor, you will normally receive a full refund.
After the course begins
You may leave the programme by giving 30 days’ written notice by email. You remain responsible only for fees covering classes scheduled within that 30-day notice period. If part of a monthly fee needs to be calculated, it will be based on the number of scheduled classes in that month. Any prepaid fees for classes after the notice period will be refunded.
If you miss a class while your place remains available, the fee is not normally refundable. This does not affect your rights if a service is not provided with reasonable care and skill.
6. If On Camera Acting changes or cancels a class
If On Camera Acting cancels the whole course before it starts, all course payments will be refunded. If a class is cancelled after the course begins, a replacement class will be offered where reasonably possible. If it cannot be replaced, the affected portion of the fee will be refunded.
If a significant change is proposed to the dates, time, venue or nature of the course and you do not accept it, you may end the contract and receive a refund for services not provided.
7. Late payment
If the remaining January balance is not received by 1 January 2027, On Camera Acting may give written notice and release the place. If a later monthly payment is overdue, On Camera Acting will contact you before suspending attendance or ending the booking. Any cancellation charge or refund will still be assessed under section 5 and will not exceed actual loss.
8. Complaints and your legal rights
Please email stuart@oncameraacting.co.uk with the details of any concern. On Camera Acting will acknowledge the complaint and aim to provide a considered response within 14 days.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including the right to receive services carried out with reasonable care and skill.
9. Model cancellation form
Use this form only if you wish to cancel. You may copy it into an email; any other clear statement is also acceptable.
